OFFICE SPACE
My Home Office & Studio Makeover

I never knew how much I needed an office until I finally had one. It has changed my life! We finally painted the “pink room” and made it into a office/photography studio. Long gone are the days of working around the clock on my laptop and feeling disorganized. Now I have a designated area where […]

Tiffany B. - Your office looks great! I love all the pops of color and those chairs! Yogi (my dog) follows me everywhere as well. He has his own space in my home office as well. I work from home so I finally found him a cute little dog couch at home goods last week. He finally warmed up to and is enjoying it now. I have the same money tree from ikea! I only have plants from ikea – I can’t seem to kill them. If they can live in the bottom of ikea I can keep them alive!

Maddy {Mad Hearts Photography} - Yup! All the plants are from Ikea. Perhaps that’s the trick! ;) Don’t you just love Home Goods?! Both of Parker’s beds were purchased there.

Back to the Business of DYI’ing

As soon as I suggested “work night/work day”, I immediately regretted it. I’m not a fan of DYI’ing. I learned that pretty early in the first year of being a homeowner. I blame HGTV and DIY blogs likes Young House Love  for making the whole do-it-yourself thing look appealing. But I’ve come to realize that […]

Life with Kaishon - I really admire you!
I believe in you : )
Go, Maddy, go!

January 6, 2013 - 1:45 pm

Tiera - You go girl! I’m definitely not patient enough or dedicated enough for DIY projects on this scale!

January 6, 2013 - 6:19 pm

Sarah - Good luck Maddy! I definitely know how frustrating that process can be. We are getting ready to move and are pulling our hair out too!

Amy - We are truly kindred spirits! My idea of a grand DIY project is buying a new pillow and throwing it on the sofa-voila! Whole new room!

But at least you have a helper . . . I’m sure the Parker pups will be oh-so helpful! :)

Nadette - Bless you and everyone else who takes on the task of DYI’ing anything. I’ve always known that it’s sham, a ton of work and not a drop of fun (IMO). Best wishes on this project, can’t wait to see the big reveal, whenever it happens to be.

The Little Thing…

I finally got around to putting some frames on the wall with some of my favorite family photos.  It’s amazing how something so small can instantly make a room feel cozy and warm.  I love walking in the front door and  or walking out for the day catching a glimpse of the many faces I […]

Camila Faria - The pictures look beautiful Maddy! That remindes me that I need more pictures in my house. The puppy is looking sooo sweet!

Tiera - Aww, that’s great! I’ve had one of those huge collage frames sitting in my room since February and it’s still waiting for photos, lol!

Nadette - Moving into a new space is exhausting, which is probably why it’s taken you so long to put up your photos. But it was worth the wait, they look fabulous. Here’s hoping it doesn’t take me too long to add some personal touches to my new home.
