MHP Session: The “M” Family

Categories Going Pro, Portraits

I just love  when clients come to me with awesome ideas for their sessions. Like Sandy’s idea to have this year’s family session in a sunflower field – a complete change from our last time together.  The weather was absolute perfection and since we decided to do our session right before sunset, I got to play around with backlighting, silhouettes and sun flare. The girls (a little older now) were just working it for the camera and luckily, we didn’t have to resort to bribery like we did the last time.  As for the parents…well I just love this couple! You can tell that even after 10+ years together, they are still so in love with one another.  This session embodies everything I adore about photographing families.  Even though we were surrounded by beauty, it just couldn’t outshine this family or their love for each other.

I love all the shadows! And the one of the two girls with the sunflower — it looks like they’re glowing. So precious!
