CAPE COD
A Nature Lover's Paradise

I didn’t know what to expect when I made the plans to drive up to Cape Cod with Kleber and the Parker Pups (a name which Amy has coined and I’ve now adopted!).  All I knew is that it was a 6 hour drive to the coast of Massachusetts. During our short stay, I learned that it’s not a shore town like a Cape May. It’s a large region that stretches about 2 hours from beginning to end by car. The towns vary tremendously from one to the next. You will find some bustling towns with a main strip full of shopping and dining options like Provincetown or Hyannis. And then there’s Eastham (where we stayed), that had a small New England town feel with lots of great activities and sights for the outdoorsy person like biking and hiking trails, pristine beaches on the ocean and bay side, beautiful freshwater ponds. An outdoorsy person I am not, but I enjoyed it! We even went whale watching and came up close and personal with a finback whale! It was an awesome few days away and a much needed getaway for all of us. I love discovering new-to-me places!
