Union, NJ - Child Modeling Portfolio Session

I spent a gorgeous spring afternoon taking headshots of Samantha who has aspirations of becoming actress. I don’t think she’s going to have any trouble making her dream come true – she’s got the face of a star and the personality of a diva! We had so such fun singing Taylor Swift, gushing over Justin Bieber and “smiling with our eyes“. Every session is an opportunity to strengthen a skill set and this one was no different. It was fun focusing exclusively on the face for once – especially when it’s such a beautiful face. For the record, I did not enhance her eyes. I’m not a fan of tweaking eyes. They can easily go from natural to alien if you’re not careful. However, I did take advantage of natural reflectors in my surroundings to add some catchlights to those stunning baby blues. And because these shots are going in her modeling portfolio, I made sure her skin was flawless with a little help of the mixer brush. A few of my favorites…
