MHP Session: BRYAN NYC {Part I}

This photo session was awesome for two reasons: 1) we shot in various neighborhoods in New York City 2) I finally had the opportunity to work with a male senior. Yay! This urban style session also happens to be one of my favorites to date.  During my portrait sessions, I encourage outfit changes because it allows for variety in photos and posing. Bryan brought along three different outfits that day and since each wardrobe change produced a different vibe, I decided to do a three part feature to showcase each individually.  One thing I learned  while doing this is that where girls want to look pretty and feminine in their senior portraits, guys just want to look cool. And since I was the total opposite of cool in high school, I knew that coming up with something for Bryan was going to be a challenge…. but I love a good challenge!   I’m glad that I was not only able to capture the vibe Bryan was looking for in this series,  but the awesome colors and textures of the Lower East Side as well!
