I don’t get to photograph teens often, but when I do, it’s an absolute treat! Rashell was turning quince (15), which is a huge right of passage in the Latin-x community and her parents wanted to capture this special moment in time with professional portraits. We decided on the New Jersey Botanical Gardens as our backdrop, which is beautiful no matter the season! Rashell looked gorgeous and worked the camera from every angle, looking absolutely stunning in the process. If only I had her style and confidence when I was that age! I love that she chose to wear something different than the typical Quinceañera dress, but still age appropriate and stylish. I could photograph her all day, but here are few of my faves from our time together.

This session was so much fun to shoot! We’ve been doing themed shoots each year for holiday cards (check out some of their fun themed sessions: Home for Holidays, Santa’s Elves and Superheros) and it seemed we were fresh out of ideas for once. But then I had this crazy idea: what if we go to Boston?! Luckily, this die hard Boston Red Sox family immediately jumped at the opportunity to take pictures at one of the places they love the most – Fenway Park! So we took the 4 hour drive (and back in one day!) for this fun family session. The green gates and walls surrounding Fenway and the Yawkey Way mural made for the perfect backdrop! I just love incorporating something meaningful for my families in their shoots. If you’re a sports fan and want to incorporate it into your session, I am always happy to accommodate and brainstorm ways to make your pictures so much more special for you!
