BALMY ALLEY
A Hidden Treasure in the Mission District of San Francisco

SF_0047

Our experience getting to Balmy Alley was interesting  to say the least.  Right before turning into the alley located in the heart of The Mission district in San Francisco, we had a bit of a scare where we were being followed by two strangers who seemed mighty interested in my camera (in a very menacing way). Once we were able to shake them off our tail and knew for sure we weren’t being followed, we turned into the famous Balmy Alley.  As soon as you turn off the main avenue in, you’re greeted with mural upon mural down the narrow corridor.   The colors. The subject matter. The intricate details. I could’ve stayed admiring them all day. Here are a few of my faves…

Life with Kaishon - I love art : ). I love that you captured this beautiful art with your sweet husband by your side. I don’t know how I feel about the lady with the baby popping out. I need to be cooler, like you.

Cindy - That’s amazing! The colors are so vibrant! That second picture of a mother giving birth and an octopus catching the baby is kinda creepy and I kinda like it!
