Golden Hour with Grace

Since I don’t have the luxury of living close to the ocean and my beach photography experience has been limited to photographing my own family, I decided to make the beach my primary backdrop while shooting in Florida. Luckily when I proposed the idea of a beach maternity session to Grace,  she was completely on board. She, along with the rest of the family, made the three hour trip from Orlando to meet me in Ft. Lauderdale Beach for the session – so of course I asked to photograph them too!  We started right at the start of the “golden hour” and the light was absolutely perfect! Add in a nice ocean breeze and stunning subjects, and well, it is a recipe for magic.
