Bloggers…They Are a Changin’

Categories Getting Personal

The last time I met up with this fabulous group of women was exactly a year ago.  Since another blogger meetup was long overdue, we decided to hit the road to the city of brotherly sisterly love: Philadelphia! Things have changed a lot since  we last saw each other: Keeley is now Dr. Keeley Powell and  expecting her first child.  Latoya is mommy to beautiful baby girl Mariah and pregnant with her second daughter. Nadette has opened up  Browned Butter Sweets (a brownie shop!) on Etsy and is planning her move to Spain. Chavonne is loving her new job teaching high schoolers and spending time with her family.  As for me…well you already knows what’s up with me (if not, then check out my last post)! But one thing’s for sure: when we get together, good times and delicious foods are plenty!

I want to be a part of your cool blogger circle : ) I love their smiles! That sandwich looks divine.

That’s so cool that you go to a blogger meet-up. I really want to do something like that around my part of the world.

And I always find it disconcerting that you northern states dwellers can just hop on a train and head to a completely different state within a matter of a few hours. Texans? 1. We have no trains so we must rely on cars. 2. Lousiana is 2.5 hours away but there’s nothing interesting until you get to NOLA, 6 hours away. 3. If you go the other direction (west) you’ll be driving in Texas for days.

I think they transportation up north is so neat and very enviable. Part of the reason I would love to MOVE up there! :)

I never thought of it, but I suppose you’re right! I’m a few hours drive from a few major cities: Philadelphia (2 Hours), NYC (15 mins), Washington DC (3 Hours), Boston (4 Hours). Surprisingly, I don’t take advantage of that too often. Even going to NYC is more of a hassle these days with the outrageous toll prices.

What fun! I would love to meet some of my blog friends–you, included! Someday . . .

I had such a fantastic time this weekend with you all! To Hannah from TX, it’s great living in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast where I’m within 5 hours of Boston, NYC, Philly, Baltimore and DC, but the traffic is wild and the cost of living can be a pain. I’ve been to TX several times and I admire your warmer weather and your open space. I guess you can’t have it all :)

That is so cool that you do blogger meet-ups. :) The only one I’ve met so far is Jade (http://jadekeller.com/) when she visited HK last month. :) I would LOVE to meet up with some of the CG girls!

I had SUCH a great time last weekend, which I definitely needed before I fell off the planet for a week! I can’t wait for us to do this again, and BEFORE another year passes us by :)
