Keeping It Vintage: The Pip & Estella Launch Party

Categories Events, Going Pro

I don’t remember exactly how Sana and I crossed paths in blog world, but I’m so happy we did. Her posts are always a delight to read and her shop “Pip & Estella” - a treasure trove for vintage lovers! I’ve always been a fan of her design finds, travel stories and beautiful photography. So imagine my excitement when Sana approached me to photograph the launch party for the Pip & Estella “Pop-Up” Shop…yes please! Located in Dekalb Market  (a community of Brooklyn artist, farmers and chefs residing in salvaged shipping containers), the same collaborative spirit was present during the night’s festivities where attendees celebrated the grand opening of the store with music, cupcakes and champagne.  Even though the “Pop-Up” Shop closed its doors on December 31st, you can still find many of the same vintage goodies at www.pipandestella.com.

First, your pics are amazing, as always. Second, this Dekalb Market looks amazing! I went to their website and looked around and pinned it on my “Things to do in NYC” board. LOVE IT!

It’s cool how they reused those shipping containers to make tons of cute little shops from small business owners. The entire atmosphere is great! I would love to revisit in the summer.
