I signed up for Instagram back when I received my iTouch, but rarely used it because it wasn’t much fun without a Wi-Fi connection. But now that I joined the rest of the world and got an iPhone, it’s so much easier to keep up with all my social media outlets – Instagram included. I’m finding that it’s not only a great way to stay in touch with friends via photos (like mini-blogging!), it’s a fun way to stay inspired and keep the creative juices flowing, even when I can’t carry around my “big girl” camera around. Twitter and Facebook may just have to take back seat for awhile because this girl is totally hooked! If you’re on Instagram, let’s be friends!

Every once in a while I get the itch to actually make a warm breakfast (Kleber loves when that happens!) and pancakes are usually my go-to choice. Mine do not get the award for the prettiest or most inventive. And they are definitely not up to Cracker Barrel standards. They’re the “just add water” kind you find in a box at the grocery store. But you know what? They are sooo good! I know my serious foodies will shake their head at this blasphemous confession, but I’m secretly hoping I’m not the only one that loves the convenience of just adding water. So tell me, when it comes to pancakes…

Did you know that Mad Hearts Photography turned “1″ this month? Woo hoo!!!! It almost slipped my mind, that’s how hectic it’s been around here lately. But a year ago I made a resolution to take my passion for photography from a simple hobby to business venture, and in January 2011 that dream came true. It hasn’t been easy, but then again the first year for most businesses rarely is. However, I still feel very passionate about what I do and continue to grow and learn from my experiences each step of the way. I hope that a year from now I’m one step closer to doing this full-time and more importantly, continue loving photography as much as I do at this moment and more (if possible!). Thank you for cheering me on every step of the way – I share this special milestone with you!
