Fall is for Football

This weekend was jammed packed with all sorts of activity, the most important being my brother Josh’s first EVER middle school football game! He’s the first one in our family to be involved in any school sport (we are all so hopelessly unathletic), so I really wanted to be there to see him kick off the season. Even though he didn’t get to play this time around, he didn’t seem bummed out at all. You can tell he enjoyed cheering on his teammates, the energy of the crowd and having his family there for support. As for me, I enjoyed watching him have a great time with his friends. Being the last of us kids left in the nest, I always worry about him being lonely in the house with only my parents for company. So I’m so glad that he has this new activity where he can make friends, have an incentive to do better in school and be physically active too!   I know the opportunity to watch him play is only around the corner as this is hopefully, the first of many, many more games and seasons to come!

Life with Kaishon - Maddy! He is so adorable! Seriously. Is that a bad thing to say about a rough and tough football player? Oh, whoopsie daisy : )
He is rough and tough and a winner in every way. Wishing him a very happy season! You are the BEST big sister!

Mindy - what a sweet post for your brother! I love that school sports teach kids so much, and that its not just about winning, but about sportsmanship, teamwork and depending on others. But, I have to say that because D had football on in the house for the ENTIRE weekend, I’m a little footballed out right now! (and, psu blew it this weekend….)

Hannah B - I’m so glad football season is here! I didn’t get into it until I met Aaron so I never went to any jr. high or high school games like this. If we have boys I’d love for them to play football so I could have that experience. lol

Maddy {Mad Hearts Photography} - What else is new (re: PSU!). Then again, I haven’t really followed actively in a long time. I just remembered the years I was in school. I think we only had one really good season the entire time I was there!

The Guilty Hyena - Sometimes being a sister is better than being a superhero! Josh looks like he’s in his element, :) it’s warming to the heart to hear he has a close and caring family around him, I wish all kids have that too, because it makes a worlds difference.

Sabine - He looks great in his white blue outfit and I’m sure his star is rising! Your really captured the team atmosphere here, Maddy.
P.S. My personal recipe against FNO awkwardness is hiding behind a camera :)

Haute World - Gorgeous pix and I’m glad he had such a good time! My sis-in-law was the youngest and last to live alone with the parents and she actually loved it. I think she enjoyed living the life of an only child for a while, without being constantly interruped by her siblings ;-)
