Can you believe it’s August already?! This summer is really going by faster than I would like, so I wanted to take a break from reminiscing about last month’s trip to enjoy the here and now. After all as great as it is to enjoy the beauty of another country, there are plenty treasures in our good ol’ New Jersey still waiting to be discovered. We may not have funky colored sand or pretty blue waters, but in a pinch, the Jersey Shore does the trick! Last week I took a day off from work and joined a few friends for some fun in the sun – no tears this time! We went to Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant Beach where we enjoyed the private beach area. It was fun, fun, fun to forget the to-do list and just enjoy the company of great people. I know that won’t always be the case and I’m expecting things to get busier once September arrives, but I’m enjoying being in the moment and soaking in the last few weeks of summer.

Chavonne - the funny thing is, with everything going on, I’m still managing to see the glass as half full. Everyone keeps saying summer is half over/ Im thinking yay there is still a good amount time left :). Anyway we were supposed to go to the beach today for O’s bday but the weather is gonna suck so change of plans. Glad you got to enjoy the beach!
