When Angela contacted me about doing a special session with her nieces and nephews as a Mother’s Day surprise for their mothers and grandmother, I was excited and nervous at the same time. With such a large group, this had the potential to be a lot of fun or a catastrophe waiting to happen! After tossing a few dates around and taking into account jobs, games, the spotty Spring weather, we finally agreed on a day and location that worked for everyone. We chose Hoboken, New Jersey for its skyline view and funky urban landscape. Unfortunately, I came down with a bad case of the flu right before the session and even though I looked (and felt) like a total mess, I knew that I had to pull myself together because there was no way we were going to be able to reschedule this session in time for Mother’s Day. The day arrived and the weather was gorgeous, though extremely windy! But after the first clicks of my shutter, I knew I was going to have a blast with this crazy bunch! The “kids” (ranging from 6 to 21 years old) were awesome and made my job so easy. With a family filled with colorful personalities, it was not hard to capture some picture perfect moments…just take a look!

When my sister-in-law Vanessa announced that she was expecting her first child over the Thanksgiving holiday, two things immediately crossed my mind: maternity and newborn photos!! The newborn photos will have to wait until July when the little princess is born, but in the meantime, I’ve been planning the perfect maternity photo shoot for the special mom-to-be. Vanessa has always been the life of the party with her larger than life personality and style, so I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to try do something fun and sexy for her maternity photos. My aim was to celebrate her beautiful, new body and to capture her beauty during this special time of her life. And what can I say? She radiated that confidence I’ve always loved and admired in this sexy maternity session! She definitely gives new meaning to the term HOT MAMA!

Last year I participated in the AIDS Walk New York and it was such an amazing experience, I knew I had to do it again.
